Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Services

WIC services include (free of charge) nutritious foods, nutrition information, breastfeeding promotion, breastfeeding support and referrals to other health and social services. The foods provided may include: infant formula, infant fruits/vegetables and infant cereal, adult cereals low in sugar and high in iron, milk, cheese, juice, eggs, peanut butter or dried beans/peas, whole grains, canned fish and vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Families who may qualify may visit our Mid City (3201 S. Carrollton Ave.) or Ninth Ward (1030 Lesseps St.) locations. For your convenience, we offer evening appointments at our Mid City location on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In addition, we offer weekend appointments every Saturday at our Mid City location monthly.
